Questions parents often ask

Which vaccines does my child need, and when?

India has a National Immunization Schedule, and additional vaccines may be advised depending on age, health and risk factors. Bring your child’s vaccination card to the visit so the schedule can be reviewed accurately.

We missed a vaccine — what now?

A missed dose does not usually mean starting the whole series again. The right catch-up plan depends on the vaccine, your child’s age and the doses already given, so bring the vaccination record and Dr. Preeti will work it out with you.

Are vaccine side effects normal?

Mild reactions such as a sore arm or leg, or a low fever, can happen after some vaccines and usually settle on their own. If something seems more serious or unexpected, contact your doctor.

Can my child get vaccinated if they have a cold?

A mild cold is often not a reason to delay, but it depends on your child. Check with the doctor on the day — Dr. Preeti will decide after examining your child.
