Questions parents often ask

My child is a picky eater — what can I do?

Picky eating is very common in early childhood. Calm, repeated offering of a variety of foods usually works better than pressure or forcing. Poor weight gain, a very limited range of foods, difficulty swallowing or ongoing feeding problems are worth a check.

When should I start solid foods?

Most babies are ready for solid foods at around 6 months, alongside continued breastfeeding or milk feeds. Every baby is different, so talk to your pediatrician about when and how to begin.

Is my child’s weight healthy?

Weight makes sense only alongside height, age and the growth pattern — not as a single number. Regular growth checks help spot both under-nutrition and excess weight early.

My child does not want to eat vegetables — should I worry?

Very often no. Keep offering them calmly in different ways without turning meals into a battle. If growth is on track, most children widen their tastes with time.
